Hello All. Started playing again recently and everything was working fine. I defrosted my save state and when I went to a town to buy some items, I noticed that the words were all messed up... It seems everything before I moved on to the next town is good, but any new items to the shop the names are all jumbled up. There is a shield called Plaaina Shield.. The shop is called ^0 at lionel castle. Any advice would be appreciated

Have you tried saving the game, then restarting the emu and loading the save file? The save state could be somewhat corrupted. Or it might be your iso.

I had a save state from mid way through the previous battle... I loaded from that state and then finished the battle and then when I got to lionel castle it happened again... i haven't saved the game through the memory card system, just through save states...

I also downloaded patched the iso again, and ran the save state through the new iso. I didn't think to download a whole new iso... Maybe that would work

Running the save state through the new ISO means you're not using the new ISO, you're using the old one.

Save states are literally a snapshot of the RAM. So, if you load, for instance, a save state from mod A into mod B, you're effectively playing mod A.

You'll need to save normally, boot up the new ISO, and then make another save state.
