Am I doing something wrong? I've only received a single rank up and I am at Junon. I have heard you mention you should be getting your first one around Reno/Aps, but my first one was in the Mythril Mines. I have also grinded a lot, and I was level 21 before I even went to the 2nd reactor. I am playing version 1.4.
I did notice I had a few extras when I got my 1st upgrade though. 5 extra sources in some spots.
Rank up.

One more thing. When do you start morphing bosses? Do the earlier game bosses have rare steals as well as the later ones?

You're talking about an earlier update where you get Rank Up in Midgar. In 1.4, the rank ups start after the Mythril Caves/Mines boss. Your rank up is fine. Just so you know, in the final dungeon, almost ALL the enemies give SP so you are not missing out and can easily hit the Rank Up cap. Even when you are level 99. Also, I think in the Readme it says you can beat the game without it.

Whew thanks, I was worrying. What about when do I start morphing bosses and looking for good rare steals from bosses and regular mobs? Appreciate the help.
