This may be a little too hard. I made it to the first major boss and the battle took forever. I used up all my potions and phoenix downs beating him. Each character was near death. When I tried to make it back to the save point I got killed trying to run away from a random encounter. I would level up some before fighting him but then I probably wouldn't have enough potions or phoenix downs to survive when I fought him. Hard is fine, but this is a little too much.

Okay, maybe I spoke too soon. I found an enemy I can steal potions from and after gaining a couple levels I'm no longer near death after 2 hits.

This is probably the easiest mod on the entire site. Definitely the easiest I have played through. Did the name "Insane Difficuly" or "FF7 Hard Type" tell you nothing? The site isn't called "Magical Carebear Circle Jerk Palooza."

It's all good. It happens.
This is definitely a lot harder than some of the mods I've played on ID. Now I'm trying to get past the train tunnels and the rocket launchers kill my characters consistently. Especially if there's 3 or more. They always seem to attack the same person and always the one with the least HP. I think I've gone through 20 phoenix downs already just in this area.

I played and enjoyed this hack a lot back around beta 12-13 or so. Now I'm playing beta 16 and it feels way too hard. The damage increases in the last update seem way overboard. I'm stuck on Heli Gunner because I have to heal perpetually, and when my healing is disrupted by sleep status from Firing Line I'm boned.
I liked this hack because it felt like what the game should've been in the first place rather than an insane challenge for masochists. But now it's starting to feel like the latter.
EDIT: Maybe that was a bit harsh. Rufus and Motor Ball were entirely fair fights. Still, I should see if I can find the beta 15 patch since the beta 16 changes don't seem that well thought out.

I'm enjoying myself so far (Playing version 16). I'm going for the "perfect game" thing (stole 99 ghost hands, took a long time), so I am somewhat over leveled. Was able to get Beta (Enemy skill) at level 21 after many attempts. I look forward to what this hack has in store for me. T.T

Hi all,
Fun to read the comments ^^
Zafire063, can i ask you how you play the v16 ? Have you an emulator or on a psp ? As i got some problem with the v16 on psp 2000, i'm still trying to find solution.
By the way, have fun with that cool game !

I'm playing on emulator. I haven't experienced any issues so far, aside from being unable to manipulate beach plugs (Probably intentional).
EDIT: Annnnnd after doing some searching I discovered Big Guard got moved. XD
