Screen just stays black
Admittedly this is my first time ever patching a psx iso so that could be the issue but I downloaded ppfomatic, fresh iso's of the PSX NTSC-U version of ff9, and the mod itself and "successfully" patched the files (though when using ppfomatic I didn't find iso files so i had to swtch to all files and patch an .ecm file for each) but when I load up any of the discs it just goes to a black screen.. I tried the first disc before applying the patches and the game ran just fine at that point. Would like to know if anyone else has had this issue or if anyone has any tips, thanks in advance.
I am using
EPSX 1.9 for the emulator
Pete's OpenGL2 PSX GPU for graphics
spupeopsdsound109 for sound
windows 8

Search for ecm tools. When you download it, open the .ecm iso with unecm. It will result in the ISO you need to patch.
Ecm files address compressed and need to be uncompressed.
Of course, don't do this with your current file, because you have corrupted it by applying a patch on it.

Still deciding if I'm going to be playing unleashed or lavos' return first... I've already started LR but I'm stuck at the dragon tank with a level 8 crono and level 7 lucca (i've never been this leveled before for this fight) and i'm getting my ass kicked. I might just put it down for now and play ff9 lol.
