It's a bandaid. It's taken us months to reach you. Literally months. I'm not mad I'm just disappointed. Some kind of statement or comment about our concerns would have gone a long way. If you're gonna say something then I'll withdraw this statement but I can go only with what I have. I understand you're busy irl but we're still here. Right now it's like you've stuffed us in a closet and I think the site reflects that. I said this once already but chat and discord have kept this place from dying outright. On a separate note, the hosting for this site is kind of shit. There have been numerous instances of people being unable to access it in the past due to an ISP routing issue, which I am currently experiencing from my home connection.

*Technically* this needs to be addressed by your ISP, but attempting to explain this to fucking India tech support is like flossing your dick with razor wire.

At this rate, I would recommend that the modders have a backup hosting site. This place is deteriorating pretty quickly without active admins. http://www.romhacking.net seems like a good alternative until ID decides whether it wants to come back to life or just die off for good.

Yeah. I think it's about time to call this site done and move. No updates beyond the admins doing some token idea speculation and fixing a part of the registration that wasn't broken.

I don't agree. I think we just need to get things moving either via FFTA or Arch. Jumping ship is really the most difficult solution, even more difficult than waiting for a reply. Just stay involved in the discord.

I guess the question is:
Archael, do you have the motivation and time to fix the current issues with the site?
If yes, then we just need some progress updates and see that things are actually happening, albeit slowly if that's the case. This is the preferred option.
If no, then we need new management, whether that means jumping ship to a new URL/host or someone taking over the ownership of the current URL/host.

Another thing to consider: how long do we want to wait if we aren't getting updates? The longer this goes, the more the site deteriorates. The discord will always be there but its not a good situation when the growth of the website is stagnant.

Agreed. The decaying can't go on much longer without this site being actually dead. It's already been overrun by bots, and while that's been stopped, there's barely any activity because new people can't really arrive and the bots drove a ton of people away. New people are the only real solution.

Just so you know, I PM'd Arch and FFTA via FB two days ago (3 days ago to FFTA actually) and got no replies whatsoever. I think it's safe to consider other options at this point, because they are being notified here. Especially Arch, we're blank saying it on his own very site, which he doesn't even check.

As it stands, we currently are having two important threads in ID. The current one is about the hard state of the site, which is with no support from the admins, and with registration currently not working.

The other thread is in the General Discussion forum, which talks about the scope of the site, and the community in general. Here'sa quote from the latest post to show how the two are intertwinned.
