Yep.
Yep.
Yep.
I'm back with a reboot of an old challenge. Golden Sun: The Lost Age [Risen Star], with a savefile specifically edited to add Hard Mode to the game. Enemies have 150% HP, 125% Attack, and 125% Defense. There will be much trolling to be had, both from me and from my enemies.
Anyway, I just wanted to get this intro post in so I have somewhere to put my written records of the run. I'll come back with my first chapter soon.
Yep.

Chapter 1: Indra
The Outset of the Journey to Osenia
Technically, the game starts at Venus Lighthouse, but nothing interesting happens there that you don't already know about. I got an Apple from the Punch Ant, though.
After miraculously surviving a tidal wave that could possibly sink all of Japan, we awake to find ourselves just north of Daila, a small fishing village on the Indra continent. It is there that we secure provisions for our foray into this new, unknown land in hopes of doing whatever it is we set out to do. For me, that would be indiscriminately kicking monster ass six ways from Sunday all across the world. First things first, I buy the White Stone and All Stone for the new classes we've known about for several months. Then it's onwards to Kandorean Temple to learn Lash, because without it, we wouldn't be able to cross the Dekhan Plateau at some point. New to Version 1.0000 is the class changing item, Replica, which replaces the Mysterious Card. Replica activates the Replicator class, who uses skills from other games. The skills are all quite powerful and fairly expensive as well. I imagine we'll probably find a means to spam these skills with relative impunity later into the game. But that time is not now. The Chestbeaters at the end of Kandorean Cave have fairly high Attack for this point in the game, and they can boost it further with Beat Dance, which is actually quite scary. However, use of Zero Saber and Spiral Flare results in great amounts of damage to all three bosses. The Chestbeaters were defeated without too much trouble.
The Mercury Djinn Fog in the cave was defeated quite easily with the powerful Spiral Flare. With the power of Lash, I captured the Jupiter Djinni Breath in the Shrine of the Sea God, much due to the might of Dragon Rage. On Dekhan Plateau, I got several Lucky Peppers from the Angle Worms, all of which I used on my Priest, Sheba, who now has upwards of 50 Luck. The Mars Djinni Cannon of Dekhan Plateau fell quickly to Replicator's Surf.
After descending the other side of the Dekhan Plateau, I grabbed the summon tablet of Zagan, then proceeded to Madra. Before entering Madra, I fought the Venus Djinni Iron, defeating him in record time with Indignation. The Replicator is quite strong, but if you want to use its skills often, you'll need to spend quite a bit of money on Psy Shards. After meeting Piers in Madra's prison, my party was given permission to cross the bridge to Osenia for no apparent reason. Oh well, I have nothing to complain about. My plan in Osenia is to grab Reveal, then beat the stuffing out of the King Scorpion.

Damn dude this is like a novel. Looking forward to the rest of the write up. Also a good note is that Lucky Peppers can only be obtained via farming and cannot be purchased.

Well, either I'll beat the stuffing out if him or he'll beat the stuffing out of me.
Actually, it's quite likely that both of those things will happen.

Hey vanish - just dropping by to let you know that this mod is an absolute triumph! Im loving it so far - just beaten the FS bandits and am just working on making sure I've got everything before sailing. Bosses so far are brilliant - all really tough, and I probably wouldn't have progressed so far if it weren't for the Replicator!
That thing is bloody awesome, and not just for the nostalgia-whoring! Seriously brilliant mod so far and can't wait to get further on - just don't want to burn out on it so taking a break!
p.s Regulus, you are crazy! I'm finding it hard without the hard mode enabled! How are you doing so far?

I don't really have time to play it right now, sadly. Hoping I can pick it up sometime in the future, though I'm going to have to start a new game.

The beginning, if you've seen his video(s), it's retarded RNG with the procs. I think that once you get past the introduction it gets less stupid, though.

Glad you guys are liking it. Replicator is great for early game most definitely but i am sure you guys will find out soon enough that you may need to mix things up if you want to survive fights.
