Insane Difficulty: Hiya. - Insane Difficulty

I'm not usually very distrustful by nature, but I can't help but be apprehensive, playing the interloper as I plan to with this forum. I'll try to push it to the back of my mind, as it seems most people are nice despite brash ways mostly alien to me. :>

So hi. I'm Polaris. I have some history elsewhere and I've shown up on the Discord a bit, if you're even slightly interested in my ways everything that there is to know is on the CSTSF if you dig deep enough. I'm joining mostly because I'd like to play BNW with different text closer to my tastes, though I like mods, platformers and RPGs in general so I'll probably chime in elsewhere. And hey, praise be to FFTA for allowing me registration in the first place!

I joined the Discord apprehensive as it was and so far have met a splendid mix of warm support and icy disapproval (mostly from Kain) whenever I piped up with my ideas. I'm in the same place that I started and honestly don't believe that I'm very compatible with this culture. Expect that along with my desire not to cause a ruckus to inform my attitude here, but I'll try not to be too demure.

Otherwise, I'll be in the background - do inform me of any missteps, hopefully my stay will be a positive one for others.

Hello! I've felt the same feeling of "These people are nice, but I don't really fit in here" before, although not on this forum.

On another note, Cave Story is a game that I should really get around to playing one of these days.

Have you tried Mega Man X Hard Type by any chance?

It's nice to see new registration threads again!

I have not played MMXHT, or indeed any mods here besides BNW. Last time I played Mega Man X was on my tiny Android with no controller, and it was hard enough there. ^_^;
(You know what we need? Mega Man X6 Hard Type.)
My interests come and go in phases, and right now I'm in a Dark Souls/random action platformers/Pokémon romhack mood (also, finals week). No doubt I'll be curious enough to try it someday, though. And yeah, my motivation for making this thread was seeing its section get a new addition again c:

That actually is somewhat of an advantage (since you'd be going in fresh instead of with tons of vanilla habits). However I do recommend playing vanilla fft, either before or after MT, to get an appreciation for the original script and for what I've changed.
