I had a long-time player of the hack report this to me the other day, he is playing from a freshly patched correct version ROM from the beginning with no cheats or anything like that, and he reported this issue with FuSoYa's spells being lost, and a bunch of ones he shouldn't have showing random %, but I can't seem to reproduce it at all using his save. I had fixed similar issue of what turned out to be shared RAM which when something else used it, the spell list did this, but I can't seem to figure out this one at all. Has anyone else who's played the latest 1.5.5 version noticed anything like this? It happened to him right after the rise of the Floating Continent, he noticed it at the IAF battle.

Like I say I've tried everything I could think of to trigger this but to no avail, I've tried learning other spells, gaining levels, applying stat tabs, completing optional side quests, but nothing. I'd like to get this squared away before releasing 1.6!
possible bug, anyone notice this?

Oh yeah, I saw this posted on your main page !
Unfortunately, I have not been able to reproduce this >_<"
Thanks for sharing the picture though.
Were they able to record video of this using the Snes9x's gameplay recorder ?
Rather, are you able to share their save file or save state where this happened ?
Oh and what emulator were they using...and OS (operating system) ?

He did provide a save state, it's for ZSNES. So I saw it in action, but it's after it was already afflicted so I can't tell what might of caused it. But using the save state yielded a regular save right before the boat ride to Thamasa, so I played through that up to the IAF battle and never had it happen. He said it was fine up until that IAF battle, so I thought maybe it was some coding error with the choosing party screen right before that, like how I once had a Gamma Sword spawning from some bad event coding lol... but I tried lots of combinations of how to choose the team and then some and it seems not. Plus, that shouldn't do anything anyway to his spell list, just trying anything and everything!
This is the save state, for ZSNES, save state 3:

Any chance that thing could happen during the flashback?
i dunno if in latest changes the battles still happen, but maybe, if they do, it could be that winning and losing one or two fights leads to a different code(forgot to tweak some byte?) than winning both the battles...? you know, the code for winning and the code for losing the fight:
- winning both the battles
- losing both the battles
- losing only the first battle
- losing only the second battle
4 different combinations in the flashback.
