I am really looking forward to playing this mod on the PPSSPP emulator! I have three questions for DrBretto.
My first question is, how did you get the slow fix patch to work on the emulator AND with your mod? I tried using LivePatch, but it doesn't work for me even with a vanilla ISO (both EUR and US), and the ppf version of the fix works fine for me when I patch a vanilla ISO (EUR with it's respective ppf, but not US with its respective ppf that someone made), but I can't get it to work if I patch it at the same time with your mod (which if I am not mistaken is for the US version only?).
My second question is, are you having problems with sound, too? Specifically with the music sounding like it's echo-y or "in another room", and the sound effects sounding kind of crappy? Do you know how to fix them? I'm having trouble finding a solution, and it's driving me bonkers (I LOVE the music in this game).
Thanks for your time and attention. Also, thank you also for working on this mod! It's fantastic! If I can get the slow fix and the mod to work at the same time, I will try to see how far I can get without crashing and let you know the results!
EDIT: Oh and one more thing... Do you know if the crash is because of the use of two patches which might interfere, or is it because of some issue with the emulator?

The live patch works only on the PSP, and by that I mean it's a direct hack for the PSP itself that once activated eliminates the slowdown on every version of WOTL, including UMDs. If set up correctly (it's basically just a plugin if I remember correctly), you don't need to do a thing. Any version of WOTL will work perfectly. UMD, US, EU, 1.3 or not.
However, luckily, they made a ppf version of the slowdown fix. At first only for the EU version, then someone attempted the US version but I can't get it to work. Since I don't have an EU version of the patch, I had to create a bastardized version of one for testing. This means a lot more work for me, and it means future patches will be EU version instead of US. They will, however, automatically include the slowdown fix.
The sound is the emulator. Believe it or not, but it's gotten a lot better in the last month or so, so there's hope for fixes later. Personally, I care only about gameplay, but the sound would be nice, too. It'll never sound like PSX version anyway. WOTL has always sounded worse.
And for your last question, the crash is with or without any patches. no one has gotten past the third fight and most can't make it past the second. I made an account over at the ppsspp forums to keep up to date with everything. I'll make an announcement when there's a breakthrough.

Thanks DrBretto! Yeah, I couldn't get the US slow fix ppf to work either. Bummer you have to switch to the EUR version. Hope it's not too painful. I'm looking forward to future developments!

I asked the devs there, btw. It'll be a while, but netplay is on the horizon.
IE, internet-based rendezvous and motherfucking tournaments. It would mean a whole new PvP tournament focused patch.

The awesomeness of that post does not allow me to express joy at all.

Hmm. Do you have a paypal account or something similar? I'd happily chip in $40 towards a new PSP for you.
+1 'cause I can. +100 if I could.
Good news though, I actually just got one of them working last night. After gutting the two of them and mixing and matching the pieces, it was just the select button that is broken (spazzing out constantly) and I found an app that let me re-map select to the mute button instead, so I'm back in action.
Even better news everyone is going to love, the next patch (and future patches) will have to be with the more readily available (it's right on emuparadise) European version again. Which means more bugs for me to fix, more stuff for me to do over, and oh joy, I get to re-fix all of the text edits I already fixed last time.
This pain in the ass is in preparation for including the speed fix directly in the patch, which is good both for people who don't really want to spend all day figuring out how to hack their PSP with the older patch and also to get ready for the emulated version. Sorry to make you all download a new ISO again, but it's for the greater good.

Ok -- just let me know if this one dies too. Arch, the same goes for you -- $80 is still easily under $1/hr for the time I've gotten out of this!

actually i use PPSSPP for psp .cso files, it has beautiful quality/performance compatibility, it even lets u use multiple versions of it in its most recent version (1000/2000/3000)
