Insane Difficulty: Attack of the Bots!! - Insane Difficulty

If anyone was around yesterday you may have noticed an absolute horde of spam posts by some particularly clever forum bots. There were numerous attempts to quell the situation, including making new member first posts (only the first) require authorization by a forum moderator. However, these attempts could not quell the bot assault. We ended up needing to completely shut down of new member registration for the time being.

I want to assure the community that I'm actively working on a solution to this mess and that the registration shut down is only temporary.

If anyone has any questions or concerns feel free to PM me. Once I've made the necessary updates and re-enabled registration I'll post a reply to this thread informing everything.

Looks like the war of the 'bots is upon us...

In FF6hacking.com this shit never happens, of course the registration questions are slightly harsh compared to avg sites, but maybe a compromise between this and that might help...
