I've only played one Pokemon game to the end so I don't have a lot of options.

I've only played up to third gen, but I know a bit about Cynthia, I'm between her and Lance, because dragons are cool.

Though, Steven definitely deserves a lot of recognition. Fuck Blue, aka "Gary."

I picked Gary. The entire game makes a point about how this is a lifelong rivalry, how he is always ahead of you, etc. The rest just sort of show up here and there, and then are the end boss. Lame.

Same here. Gary is the guy that pushed himself to ensure that he was always one step ahead of you at every given point. He's the only one that has anything resembling a personal push towards defeating them. The rest are just kinda like "hey pal I remember you, you're the nice guy I saw from the beginning of the game. You were pretty cool. Okay, let's battle."

I only know the early generations. But I wonder is there a champ who can actually decently fight gameplay-wise? Kicking ass as much as the opponents in the Pokemon Stadium series.

I'm gonna stick with Kjata & Augestein. I haven't played the newer games, but I haven't been impressed that they're anything special other than "this gen's champion, kick their butt."

Lance almost got my vote. He's just as generic as the other champions, but he was the first, and he's not a jerk like Gary.

Gary and Cynthia mostly fit that bill. I actually poked around in the editor for Platinum...... Cynthia's AI is the highest I've seen in the editor. I would say moreso Cynthia because she uses a few pokemon that are decently good, some that are really good, and one that is extremely good (probably know which one I'm talking about).

Mhmm. Cynthia is still the toughest champion that I've encountered in a pokemon game. Maybe I just needed a different team or to level more, but she was quite a challenge compared to every other champion I've faced
