I believe it is the newest version available, no additional patching, but the rom was the one translated if that's an important detail, also in the Genova subject shapeshifters can become anything at random or they have preset transformations (also sorry if I'm being too annoying its just im too excited about this mod)

No man, i didn't, but what i did as the name in the file suggest was patch an already translated version, dunno if it makes any difference, because from what i understand you guys get a untouched japanese rom, patch it with the hard type, then patch with the translation, also im terribly sorry for overwriting the save file...

It needs me to cast a spell so it is placed on an enemy like a debuff? if so it stacks with for example with the debuffing of thunder jutsu?

That question answers itself once you check which spells it applies to. (same document as above)

Praetarius does the buff that comes with items are the exact same as the ones that comes from the spells? And how does the petrifying stuff of cockabird works? Also sirens can also petrify or they only have sing? And how does one counter act sing?

Buffs are the same no matter the source.
But I didn't understand the other questions...

1. I understand that cockabird petrifies with its skill so it is AoE Or it is a single target spell?
2. The monster Siren on bucca isle is capable of inflicting the petrify status? Or sing is its only spell?
3. How do i counter act or avoid my max hp becoming reduced by sing? Or i just have to leave the map in order to "heal" its effect?

Not sure; I once thought that everything that doesn't freeze action is always single target.
Then Jeweleater hit all three of my characters with his rock throw at the same time.

siren shouldn't be able to inflict petrify.
but they at least "know" a feather spread attack if you want to count that as a spell

it's the same as a lunatic spell - victory or stardust herb or any maxHP buff cancels it
