Hello. I have tried enough that I decided I ought to just register and ask -


I downloaded a .bin/.cue from emuparadise

>the downloaded vanilla game runs fine on ePSXe 2.0 and 1.6

>i converted this .bin/.cue to ISO, converted ISO runs fine.

I patched clean .ISO to 1.3 content:

>does not run in ePSXe 1.6 or 2.0 as .bin/.cue, as .ISO, or as virtual drive CDROM .iso

>patched clean .iso to 1.3 regular, same thing (i did not patch over patch)

i have tried a number of different settings and plugins, namely pete's 1.77 and pete's 2.0? and various audio plugins.

i have fooled around with the settings based on a handful of forum posts on this website.

my pc is lenovo g51 or something -

>AMD radeon gfx
>64-bit win 10
>plenty of ram
>idk what else is relevant

every single time i launch the game, the screen goes black and does not ever present the SQUARESOFT logo. no error messages. no "application is not responding". just nothing - and like i mentioned above, vanilla game runs perfectly fine under all listed circumstances.

i really don't know what to do!

SOLVED:


i guess my issue was converting the original .bin to an .iso. i tried patching the .bin (didn't realize i could do that before) and it launches now.

Yep, I'd have said that exact thing. The step of converting to iso was unnecessary. Anywho, glad you solved it!
