After a week of full commitment to learning 65816 ASM, I've accomplished some very important things: Reducing the initial Max HP, reducing the HP gained with every Heart Upgrade, Reducing the Initial Ammo of every weapon (per stage), and reducing the Max Ammo per stage (the last two are different). About those 2 last, the player will have less Max Ammo (from 28 to about 6, I need to test it before deciding on the actual number), but you will actually start the stage with little to no ammo per weapon, about 2 shots per weapon. This will make ALL weapons matter more than ever. Whenever you get a recovery item for ammo, you will have to cleverly decide with weapon suits best the situation.
Next thing to look after in the code are subammo per weapon (which can be interpreted as cost, because I'll use that to differ each weapon's Max Ammo). Some weapons aren't as powerful as others (Storm Tornado and Homing Torpedo, I'm looking at you). So the player will not be able to just equip those weapons and storm the levels. Just go play the Sigma levels (when you already have all upgrades / weapons) and you'll see what I mean. Storm Tornado and Homing Torpedo are most usually everything you need.
Other things to look, before the next release:
Damage done per weapons (non-charged, charged, and against their respective weak boss. Also the level 4 buster).
Some of the normal enemies' HP.
Some of the bosses' HP (if I can make them higher, that would probably be a workaround to reducing the weapons' power).
Ammo recovered by the items.
Consider recovering large amounts of ammo with the usual 1-UP (as you already have infinite lives, yay! We'll see about this one, as that could be too much for a ASM noob like me).
Removing the random platforms in Highway stage.
Making the actual design of the next stage to mod.

Progress, people. I have nerfed the HP gained per Heart Upgrade. I think I've fixed a bug which ocurred because of that change.
On another note, Storm Eagle's stage is fully designed and modded, except for the boss fight, which I need to edit an event to make it work properly. As soon as I can edit that event, I'll be releasing Storm Eagle's stage.
There has also been some important changes (polish) to Highway Stage and Chill Penguin's Stage.

Storm Eagle's stage fully playable! The boss will be a disappointment, though.

Fixed some graphical issues caused by the editor. Also, Boomer Kuwanger's boss arena was slightly changed. Have fun.

Toned down some jumps, added a wall in Boomer Kuwanger's to avoid the boss teleporting out of the room.

The next version will include:
-Sting Chameleon's stage
-Different costs for each weapons
-Exit feature for all levels before beating them, allowing for getting upgrades, or doing scout runs (doesn't apply to Sigma's Stages, or Highway Stage)
-Huge tweaking in Highway Stage and Chill Penguin's Stage
-General polishing of all of the stages released so far
