it is the unknown section of data between the end of the items and the start of the abilities, and the reason i didn't find it before is because they have the data stored in a slightly different format (instead of little endian, which has the lesser byte stored first, it has it in big endian, which stores the larger byte first).

as for the initial status byte, it is the 130'th byte

enemies with 2 or higher int cannot be influenced

the basic layout so far is this (offsets are just for the ai data that appears before the skill array):
0x00 - opcode used (the condition check, so will use this part of the data if the condition is true)
0x01 - special opcode (so far it seems to be used to set specific types of stats or status condtions)
0x02 - status to be changed (can be multiples in one go)
0x03 - modifier for the status (like how much it is affected)
0x04 - still unknown, perhaps for targeting, but not sure
0x05 - unused
0x06 - displays a battle message at this location in another file (like Mutant loses regeneration! or whatever)
0x07 - unused

now for the specific things that i have discovered (opcodes first):
16 - activated when inflicted with blind
14 - activated for the 10th turn of the battle (not sure about ex turns)
10 - when alone
18 - when stolen from
1d - not quite sure, but deals with your dead party members (archmage)
15 - checks ryu's? level (not sure of mechanics)
23 - hit with electric type move
24 - hit with physical attack?
63 - seems to be an off switch (berserker could use might/protect/triple blow otherwise :p)
