  1. Aw, it's a shame that the new update is coming out just as I wrap up playing 1.9. The changes on it look nice, at least. I'll have something to play down the line.
  2. Oh, found another one too just now. Was wandering around the Veldt in the WoR and Albatross didn't give me a Sketch ability either. Edit: Lunaris in the WoR too.
  3. Heya, just wanted to let you guys know that Demon in Daryl's Tomb and Cerebus in WoR Narshe don't have any Sketch abilities.

  6. I always specced Tifa to more speed and attack and turn her into a glass cannon. Her weapons and limit just always struck me to just get as much damage out there as possible. Plus she has the ability to tank one death already. Cloud, I make him a magic knight. Split his upgrades between magic boosts and str boosts, but leaning more towards magic. Barret is a phys tank and Cid I make a spirit tank. I can't remember what I did with Yuffie, but Vincent I push him towards strength boost. For differences, you get steal earlier so you can use attack items. I appreciate the fact that you can shut off random encounters. There's new little mini scenarios, like one where you meet Yuffie in a totally different way than in the normal game. A few FF4 references from the Shinra weapon department.
  7. I like FF7 New Threat. It has enough new story events that are fun, in addition to redoing the balance of the game to be interesting. Plus I always like seeing all the party members stand apart and be more unique than they were in the original FF7. Additionally, I think Sin of Mana mod is well balanced and has a fun new experience. Sin of Mana reworks all the classes of the characters in the base game, and adds in a brand new equipment system on top of it. There's working aggro, you can run around, new gameplay systems like hate/revenge systems where bosses answer actions with stronger counters. New ways of fighting bosses instead of just facerolling them. Plus it's an action RPG you can get a breath of fresh air before diving into another traditional rpg.

  10. I love that you gave Cloud Second Wind already. I used to play it when he had some sort of stat up/growth over time? I just wanted to ask if I should go with Original or Arranged if I want to see it all? Also, 1.5 is the latest, right? I saw you have this on qhimm and there was some hotfix files. Do we need those on this version?

    I need to get to downloading this mod. Would it be possible to play through the whole game? Or should I just keep an eye on it until you're done?
  13. Really interesting mod, so I went to try and patch it up. The file size I have is 4,270,227,456 bytes/3.97 gb, but the patcher gave me this: An error has occurred: xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT. What size should it be?

  15. It's only crazy if you fail and you keep trying. Mod is wildly succeeding, in my opinion. You don't get to escape to an asylum just yet, I'm afraid. By the way, why'd you guys change the life and phoenix down the way you did? To make the potions healing to percentages more useful? Or some other balance change I can't wrap my head around right now.

    How short should we cut the pictures so they fit for avatars? I keep shrinking my image in image editing software, but the board keeps wanting me to cut it down even more.
  19. Equipping Charlie and Angela through the top middle inventory screen did it, thanks. I think I might've gotten an old version of the mod, though. Charlie has Holy Ball, which I remember reading a few posts up that you didn't want her to have before her class split? Edit: Huh, it says it's version 0.925 though...

    Were there things on there that needed linking? Outside of the mods themselves. Was there some that won't be able to come onto this site?
  21. I reached Maia and all the level one accessories/rings are available for purchase on Kevin. Angela and Charlie can't equip their own accessories, but Kevin can equip all of them.

  23. I'm restarting the game after a minute of not dabbling in it. I keep pressing the b button with a full tech bar, but I'm not firing off a tech. I hold it down and I run around just fine though.
  24. Final Fantasy 5: the brainstorming

    For the elements on everything notion, will we be getting a free scan spell? Everything having resistances sounds good on paper, but it'll make things confusing fast. Or will all monsters be labeled with an icon on what their element is so we don't have to worry about it?
