There's something I've been wondering about ever since I started playing version 9. Diamond Saw has the flashing numbers, can KO if you're not protected, but it doesn't inflict full break, why?

There's a bug-made-feature in v9 where if you resist the element, full break won't be applied.

Via Infinito is still empty after refighting Smithy.

That's because there are hidden monsters of all of them.

Awww, yeah! It's go time! As I said I'd do, time to inject v9 on my SNES Classic. But, before I do, is there anything I need to be aware of before doing so, glitches-wise?

If you want to play on SNES Classic, you'd better wait for the final upload.  This one has some nasty bugs on SNES Classic due to lack of testing...

(the final upload should be in a week or two)

  3. Thanks for the critique!  I don't see any issues here I expect to be fixed for the Content or Normal modes (except for Long Gui which has already been fixed), but it's good information all the same.  Thanks! :coolguy:

As for some specifics, let me chime in in no particular order and DK can comment on things as well...

Hammer Bros: The hammer Bros can be killed very fast and they don't deal much damage. Increase their health or damage dealt, preferably both.

Croco: The first and second fights with Croco was unbelievably easy to beat. Give the poor bastard more health and make him stronger in the second fight.

You're complaining that the earliest bosses in the game are too easy.  Think about that for a second.  I've seen players lose to the Hammer Bros and nearly lose to Croco.  :fuck:

(as for Croco 2, remember that unlike most fights, you can't use items.  As a result, it has to be easier or else less skilled players would simply get stuck there)

Speed Bracer: This, along with the Lazy Shell and a Master Ball, is your reward for finding all the hidden chests in the game. It gives you 2 turns with no consequenses. Nerf its stats.

As the primary reward for finding every hidden chest, it's deliberately overpowered here.  Keep in mind this is only Normal mode, so some things are deliberately OP for the player to abuse.

Lazy Shell: The only boss this thing could be useful for, is Elizabeth, It boosts all your defenses to the max, but sends your attack stats to rock bottom. You might as well get everybody's armor of light and use that instead.

This was a deliberate change compared to v8: Lazy Shell is no longer the end all for armor.  It'll help you survive attacks, but there's definitely better armor out there.  It's best used for the earlier superbosses.

Here's my biggest complain: Celebi and the Galaxy Star can be used once in every battle, this is also true for the FF Boss Rush, but NOT for the Pokémon trainer battles or Trial Mode. This makes the FF Boss Rush very easy to beat and it makes Trial Mode 10x harder.

I agree... I think they should have been limited for the FF boss rush too.  :inglip:

Probably a limitation to the base game but I figured I'd report it regardless.

The game does not show how much EXP you need to level up from 30 to 31.

Just a side note but I have been having such a blast with Armageddon. I'm really enjoying the fact that enemies have attacks that make sense for them to have. It's also fun to figure out block timing. Really awesome job Darkkefka!

    Glad you're enjoying it! :coolguy:

And regarding the level 30 exp, yeah.  While there were many things we fixed in the menus to suit armageddon in v9, there are a few menus that still think level 30 is the max.

  6. The boss rushes (including the trainer battles) are deliberately stricter when it comes to once-a-battle item usage.  However, I was under the impression you got them back after every fight in the FF boss rush?

The bug with killing everyone in boss rush has already been reported and fixed.

Shiny Flowers can be found in Shadow Palace.  Daisy's dialogue is that way because of reasons...

I managed to find the exact bug and reproduce it at any time. the bug actually happens in the first map of Kero Sewers, once inside, while standing near the upper area while the water has not been drained, when a Cheep cheep jumps and appears on the screen for a little until jumping back to the water, it sets your Galaxy Coins to 3. I started a new game to try to find the bug but I can reproduce on my older save file.

Video link of the bug: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1GfM5CJ0eJO9huIERJ6mmN7h9AhMk6Dca

You are an amazing person for tracking this bug down.  Thanks!
