I've gotten the freezes at the following places.
1. Froze during the second (and the best) intro about in the middle of it.
2. Didn't freeze on this one, but I opened a room, and it destroyed the game's input. The analog light on the controller stopped working and the demifiend ran in circles, softlocked. Happened when examining the second door on the left after seeing Isamu in the hospital. I tried again and it didn't happen.
3. Freezes 100% guaranteed on the first fight when the will o wisp says he wants to eat. This makes the game unplayable since I can't get past this point.
I've done testing on both HDL and OPL with no luck on either. They seem to operate the same. Is there anything we can do to get it working on HDD?
