  1. Ever wanted to hack a game, but wonder if there's already an editor in existence for your game of choice? Do you suck ass at Google? If you said yes to both of these questions, you are who this thread exists for! A while back, I wrote an article titled "Got A Question About Modding? This is for you.", and in it I took a few minutes to do some research and came up with a small list of ROM editors. Now, being that that article is on the second page, it's a safe bet that it doesn't get a lot of traffic. I think the list seen in said article is a pretty valuable piece of information, so I had the idea to make a thread just for said list. Pokemon Editors PokeRed and PokeCrystal [Credit: RavenOfRazgriz] Chrono Trigger Editor [Credit: Madsiur] Final Fantasy I, II, IV (Advance only), V (Advance as well), VI, Tactics Editors [Credit: Madsiur] Final Fantasy VII Editors [Credit: Sega Chief] Final Fantasy VIII Editor [Credit: Sega Chief] Final Fantasy IX Editor [Credit: Sega Chief] Paper Mario Editor [Credit: Lolwayup] Super Mario Bros 3 Editors [Credit: Lolwayup] Mega Man X Editor [Credit: Hart-Hunt] Final Fantasy VI Editors [Credit: Lockirby] Earthbound Editors [Credit: Bluerobin427] Breath Of Fire III Editor [Credit: XtraT] Alternate source for even more editors!: This list is ongoing. If anyone knows of any that aren't on this list, toss me a link and after I confirm it, I'll update the list. When you make a contribution, after I add it I'm going to spoiler tag your post so the thread is easier to parse through.
  2. You guys know the drill.
  3. I love you and appreciate you. <3
  4. I literally went back and checked the posts. We don't downvote for dissenting opinions, but rather for the content of said posts. That "I said it's my opinion" post deserved to be downvoted into oblivion. Your posts that were downvoted had poor points, and thus poor content. Stop pitching a fit over it. 5 negative rep is very easily regained. It's not that serious. Clearly you do care because you keep responding. This is the second time you've said that.
  5. No, you got downvoted because your logic is flawed, your points were silly, and when pressed, you tried to defend yourself by saying it was an "opinion." Who cares if it's an opinion? We know it's an opinion; that does not mean you shouldn't be defending it. It being an opinion and not fact does not save it from being criticized, which you took to poorly. No, you were warned because you were one step away from insulting someone over a simple disagreement in game tactics. And it wasn't even a warning, it was me asking you to take a step back. Your negative rep came from three posts before this one where you threw your hands up like an infant and stormed out. You're not being bullied. If you don't want to be treated like a child, then stop acting like one.
  6. So let me just say that none of these things are actually a problem with 1.3. As a matter of fact, I would argue that the AI uses the new abilities better than players generally will. The amount of times I've seen someone caught off guard and got three of their units wrecked with a Chain Lightning is staggering. The biggest problems with 1.3 are what Quad and Emmy have mentioned. Also I'd like to point out something: it seems you're trying to make sport out of Augestein by insinuating he's a bad player. You're gonna have a bad time with that, bud. You seem to be getting more aggressive as more and more people disagree with you. I would caution you against this, as this thread is going to end badly for you. Nothing being said here is personal, but it looks like you're taking it that way with how defensive you're getting. Take a step back, my dude. It's nothing to get heated over.
  7. My name is Kyrios and I approve this message.
  8. The level cap raised. Shit just got real.
  9. So, I got my hands on a really awesome game called Pokemon Insurgence. It's a fangame which you can find here. I would get the torrent and not the installer if I were you; it's a lot faster. Anyway, this game takes place in a new region with new versions of certain pokemon called Delta Pokemon. Delta pokemon have different typage, different movesets, but the same base stats as their vanilla counterparts. This game also features new Mega Evolutions, and follows the main series mechanics up to and including Gen VI (X/Y). Anyway, I'm not gonna go too in depth (I may do a review on it for the front page later, who knows?), but I'm going to be doing what I'm calling a Delta/Armor run of the game. So, in addition to the delta pokemon, you also have different armors for certain pokemon that alter their stats a bit, and make them look different. For instance, take a look at Shiny Tyranitar with his armor. Sexy as hell, right? Right. So, for this challenge, as the name implies I'm going to be using only delta and armored pokemon. The rule is that I have to stick to this team no matter what, and the armored pokemon cannot remove their armor for any reason. Now, you may ask, why would you want to? Well, the simple answer is because that takes up an item slot that may be put to better use with a different item in certain circumstances, such as a mega stone. For those of you worried about difficulty, have no fear, I'll be playing on hard mode. Delta pokemon in this game can be strong, but they are by no means overpowered as you might expect. Full disclosure though, I will be using debug mode to create my starters. Hard mode assumes max IVs/EVs, so I'll be doing the same. It also softcaps your level at certain points so you can't outgrind content, which is really cool. The limit for my creating starters is that I'm not allowed to give them any items aside from armors (this means mega stones I have to get naturally through the story), and they cannot have moves they're unable to learn. This means that I may give some of them one of their egg moves, for instance Dragon Dance on Larvitar. This was more just an introduction post; next post is gonna be the actual beginning of the challenge! Let's go!
  10. HNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG Boutta fuck this dude up, fam. Next up is Ultira Town.
  11. So I made some progress. I don't really remember exactly what changed since last time BUT after facing a big baddie My party looks like this. Now I have to fight a Mega Legendary. So, there's that. More to come. I'll put the fight in spoilers.
  12. I can tell you right now that a Hard mode playthrough with 0exp is literally impossible without extreme amounts of RNG fuckery.
  13. Do you not know how an IP address works? I can see your entire IP. I blanked it out in the screenshot I posted, you ignoramus. Part of me wants to ban you, but you putting your idiocy on display like this is far more entertaining.
  14. There were a few members of the staff who wanted me to do just that.
  15. @JKnox This is your one and only warning: Creating a dummy account for the purposes of double dipping on neg rep will land you in a place you do not want to be. The rep you have changed with this alternate account will be reverted and the account will be banned. Next time it won't be just the alternate account. Edit: I also unlocked the thread for the sake of dialogue.
  16. That's exactly what it is. There's a learning curve. Respecting the lock now.
  17. The quoting system is fine outside of mobile, where you can't move the quote boxes. It's a learning curve, though.
  18. I may or may not have confused you for the other guy.
  19. I'm not sure if that's his first post, but from ninjas tone I don't think it is. Even if it is, if you're toxic, we'll let you know. It's how we've always been. BTB let's other people bludgeon his disruptive members rather than do it himself. Sorry for the double post. The quote formatting is troublesome for editing on mobile.
  20. I can and will edit your posts to make you sing "I'm a little teapot" if you're an ass though. You're a guest here, my man. We don't know you yet. Coming in here guns blazing won't earn you any kind of desirable place here. This is our house. Time you started acting like it.
  21. Alright, you've convinced me. I'd like to point this out for everyone: when you don't like something the staff does, this is how you speak out -- you make a reasoned argument against it. This is how you will get us to listen. That goes for all the Administrators, not just me. Bravo, sir. My hat goes off to you.
  22. I mean, if you can find the sprite, I actually made a tutorial on YouTube for how to do it.
  23. As an update to everyone, I received word from FFTA, one of the other former Administrators of Insane Difficulty earlier tonight. Whatever happens from here on out, just know that this man was not to blame. He tried purchasing the site himself, but Archael would not have it. If he comes back here, I intend to welcome him back with open arms, and I expect all of you to do the same. He loved Insane Difficulty just as much as anyone else, and he tried just as much as the rest of the Administration to save it.
