For the love of god plz help this newbmess

Ok. I've spent many hours now trying to figure this out. Yes, I know it's so obnoxious when newbs show up asking questions without at least giving an effort into finding the answers themselves - and I did. I did try. I checked FAQs and various sites and I'm still lost. So, here it is:

I HAVE to play Monster Tactics. FFT was my fav game as a kid, and this sounds amazing.
I managed to get FFT running on my laptop via ePSXe. The game runs and everything is fine.
The problem I'm having is how the hell do I get the Monster Tactics mod to run? I downloaded the file, then extracted it.
I installed LunarIPS, bc that's what someone told me to do. Nothing shows up. I put the Monster Tactics file (a .ppf file?) in the same folder as the game like someone ELSE told me to do. Nope.
I'm probably going about it all wrong, but for the love of god I cannot find anything specifically that addresses my issue.
I know nothing about coding or making mods themselves or anything else of that nature, so, if anyone IS willing to help, they'd have to explain things to me like I'm dumb. I know, I'm prolly a pain. But I'd be so so grateful for some help.
