So, I've learned that the longer I sit on an update, the more I'm going to want to cram into it. This one's beta cycle went on for a lot longer than we were expecting, and a few last-minute changes got tossed in near the end. You're good to upgrade from the beta on a pre-Falcon save, otherwise I'd advise against it due to some of the aforementioned last-minute changes. Naturally, everyone else will need to start a new game or else all kinds of shit will be broken. Big thanks to everyone who participated in the beta and kept me from having to do any actual work myself.
Anyhow, the big thing with 1.6 is Esper Experience, which at long last puts to bed the issue of keeping character levels low for the sake of maximizing esper gains. The experience tables were reworked slightly in response to this, resulting in a slightly lower expected end-game level as most casual players will probably end up with a few extra esper levels on their latecomers to make up for it. This also relegates the infamous "No Exp. Egg" to being purely a challenge run item, and as such it is now hidden to new players until they beat the mod and discover its location in the Unlockme.
tl;dr - You can still beat Dadaluma at level 3, you just don't get anything from it except satisfaction and maybe a hard-on
Once again, I'd like to thank everyone here who helped and continues to help make Brave New World a success. In particular, I'd like to send out my thanks to Mishrak for his help with, among other things, the BNWCP (Brave New World Character Planner) that was included in the mod as unlockable content as of 1.5 (a public version that omits all of the game's hidden equipment can be found here). And, of course, many thanks to Nakar for his work with the wiki page (still a work in progress).
And, of course, Think, for his work with the non-active battle system (nATB). As of 1.6, it is still something of an unofficial add-on for BNW. While its full inclusion will have to wait until 2.0, you're free to go check out the nATB beta patch - many players swear by it and say they'll never go back to ATB, so I guess that's a good sign.
And I think that's it. See you on the other side!
