Nope. I even went back to win every battle at Mushroom Kingdom to get armor for everyone. I think I've came up for a strategy to beat her, but I may fall short in items.

With this strategy, I'm only able to take one life of her at a time before the Lumas come back. I could take 2 of them at once, but the only think keeping me from doing so is Black Hole->Galaxy Storm. It KO's 2 party members all the time. I thought about defending, but it seems that she does that attack when taking one life from her.

I could keep up with this strategy, but it seems that I would run out of items to restore my MP and Auto-Life before being able to reach her 11th life.

I'll try defeating "secret boss at Yo'ster Isle" or the FF Boss Rush before trying this fight again. Those two things along with Trial Mode are the only things are still left to do.

You won't get the full reward from Yo'ster Isle unless you've beaten Trial Mode and the FF Boss Rush.

Something I wanna talk about this fight...

Is it just me, or Rosalina seems to be way too hard for a "Normal Mode"? I don't know the way you balance this fights, but it does seem that you guys take in count the use of save states. Personally, I try to avoid using those 99% of the time because that feels like cheating (unless is for testing purposes). I know I'm not the best at RPGs either, but there's no way you'll be able to legitimate beat her. My only complain about this fight is that the Lumas come back way too quickly (3 turns). Not only that, but she casts a devastating attack pattern every time she loses a life, which may lead to even 2 dead party members, and that means that you'll have to waste 1 turn on healing (if you're lucky, you won't get one-shoted by Galaxy Beam). By that time, at least 1 Luma may have already be brought back because there's no guaranteed way to defeat all of them at once (unless you're lucky with RNG). And she has 15 lives? Yeah, "secret boss at Yo'ster Isle" is nothing compared to this.

In other words, to balance this fight, the Lumas need to take a bit longer to come back. 5 turns seem fine, but if you think it's too much, 4 should be enough.

That's all I think about this fight. Let me know what you think. If you agree or disagree, I'm still curious about your thoughts.

It was easier at first, then DK buffed her. I shouldn't have said anything about how easy she was to begin with.

This is a problem i've had since playing v7. Almost every chest in the game is empty like someone got there before me or something. the hidden ones are already showing and empty as well. Everything else works like its supposed to. It's just the chests and its making me feel like im missing out on some vital items I may need later. Anyone know what could be causing this?

What kind of rom are you using and what emulator are you using? Have you patched anything else to the same rom previously?

As in, can the engine handle it? Does the current code allow it? Luigi would be relatively simple sprite wise for the most part, just recolor Mario's animations, i'll make poltergust attack custom sprites if i find it out to be possible to add characters though.

His niche could be inflicting powerful status ailments on enemies, maybe a few buffs too, with above average defense, magic and magic defense but meh offensive stats to balance it out, his ultimate special could be negative zone, the animation just a big circle that inverts the colors inside, green fireballs, lightning and such would all be simple spritewise too.

Yes, adding a character is possible, someone is working on adding Daisy as a 6th character. That's not for Armageddon though, and it hasn't gotten any attention for over a year.

From what i remember, each boss from hard mode used to have extra HP, damage and defense in previous versions. Not only that, but FP used to cost a little more, and there might be a chance that some of the Ultimate spells will cost some of your Max FP (Galaxy Blast and Thunderstorm are probably the most powerful spells in this romhack) if Daisy can still raise your Max FP with a certain item

The max FP reduction will most likely not be back as it just introduces more "pointless grinding"

I figured I could just raise my FP with the gold flowers in this version but it seems I can't. Daisy says I need a different type of flower? Also does Long Gui drop anything now? I've beat him like 10 time and haven't gotten a drop.

The other flower is a shiny flower. They can be dropped from the dark dayzee in the palace of shadow located in bowser's keep.

The long gui drops the protect ring after battle, you might wanna beat general guy to make it a guaranteed drop.

If you use any other emulator that's not SNES9x v1.53 or if you patched the game wrong, these weird bugs could happen. If it's not that, then it's probably a legit new glitch. About the slowdowns, I would say it's because you're PC it's not powerful enough, but I'm pretty sure you can run a SNES emulator even on a pentium 2. If it's not bad ROM patching, then I don't know.

Any version of snes9x works, however, you should never use an older version than 1.53, just in case those have issues.

Is ribbon in this version? I know you used to get it from turning in the tonberry doll or something like that, but tonberrys seem to fulfill a different purpose in v9. Lazy Shell is so effective on Peach, but it takes a lot more to make it work effectively (i'm using speed bracer so i can cleanse status before my damage dealers have a turn, but i don't need a second action with peach and would like that second action on one of my damage dealers)

Go to Moleville, fall in a hole on the top of the mountain, you'll find a Tonberry down there.

so before you enter palace of darkness for the first time, rosalina tells you that she can't help you in there due to the power of darkness. the other time we hear her say that was right before the fight with bundt. i know that in PoD, you can't use galaxy star and being wiped causes you to reload your save instead of just being revived by rosalina. but in the bundt fight, you don't even have the galaxy star yet, so that just means that you have to reload if you get wiped. what was the reason for this when every other boss in the normal game allows you to be revived by rosalina?

DK was too lazy to reset the events prior to the Doom Cake battle.
