Hey everyone, I'm streaming 2ish times per week (current plan is 11am EST Wednesday and 1pm Saturday for 3-4 hours a piece). I'm going through FF6:BNW and Breath of Fire 2 Maeson at the moment, but there are several other games I'd like to get into including FF7: New Threat, FFT: Monster Tactics. I'll try and put my streaming on the forum calendar and once I've convinced myself I'm a regular I'll as to get put on the Streams tab as well. Hope to see you there! I'm going to have to push today's stream back a bit. Sorry! Keep an eye on this space for when I reschedule it!
-
Last minute, but I have to push tomorrow's stream back a day. Hope to see you guys on Sunday at 1 pm eastern time!

Next stream is tomorrow, 11am EST. Picking up with Breath of Fire 2 where we left off! After that we'll alternate BoF2/FF6 until we finish one of them, which should be too many more weeks.

Alright, I'm going to be streaming some Breath of Fire 2 at 1pm EST. See people in about 3 hours!

Hey! I'm really sorry, I had a last minute appointment schedule change that overlapped with the stream, so I had to cancel the stream. I thought I left a post here, but it looks like either it didn't go through or I messed something up. I'll definitely dig back into BNW or BoF2 soon. My current plan's Wednesday at 11. Thanks for coming by, I really appreciate it!

Alright, I've mostly recovered from sicknesses, so I'm going to try and pick up the stream again tomorrow. At this point I'm 50/50 between ff6 and bof2, so feel free to drop by and vote or request one here!

Sorry guys, I'm sick and I've mostly lost my voice (among other symptoms that would make for a bad stream), so cancelling today. Hopefully I'll see people on Saturday though!

Alright, stream today at 1 pm EST. Continuing FF6:BNW today, and the current plan is BoF2 on Wednesdays. I have to figure out whether I want to use the retranslation or not. It turns out I'm surprisingly attached to the original graphic style and the weird, old, bad translation.

untilCome on over to twitch.tv/Bluerobin427 to hang out and watch some FF6:BNW!

untilAlright, so I'm going to continue FF6 in my second streaming session before I start another game. We'll do 3 hours again and see how we all feel at the end of it. Let's do this!

Patches: Cafe to Pub and Mute to Silence

+1 for mention of my stream Also because consistency is good. -
untilI'm starting up BNW 1.9, getting 3 hours into it. I've got a fair amount of experience, but 1.9 brings some interesting new improvements that I'm keen to integrate into my FF6 runs!

Brave New World 1.8.5 is now available!

I had something similar happen, except Locke was using a healing shiv which healed the only damage I'd done so far. -
Hi everyone, I'm back to the community and finished my PhD! On ID and Twitch I'm Bluerobin427, on Discord and here I'm just Robin because it's what people called me anyway. Glad to be around again!

Graphics glitch, probably emulator specific

So, I'm back to BNW with 1.8.5 and a new raspberry pi RetroPie setup. My problem: I get weird menu glitches. Excuse the awful picture, but one version of the bugginess is in the attached picture. I'm using the new(ish) default window color. Instead of the gradient, though, I get to this buggy looking block pattern in the save menu and when I'm naming characters. The other half is that during battle the battle window flickers to black periodically. I can't nail down what's triggering the flickering, I can't get it to happen reliably, but it happens often enough that it's multiple times per battle. I tried the patched ROM on my phone (SNES9x EX+) and it's fine. I've tried the unpatched ROM on my raspberry pi and it's ok. So, does anyone happen to know enough or have a similar setup and have the time/willingness to help? If there's a setting or group of settings I need to fiddle with I can do the legwork from there, I just don't really know where to start. I could just play on my phone again, but I'd really like to play on a big screen. -

Oh geez. Welp, no matter how thorough I think I am, I always miss something easy. Thanks! -
Hm. I think I picked Locke last time for his durability, healing, and versatility, but the lack of MP self-sufficiency might make me switch. Cyan, Setzer, Celes, Mog, and Gau would be good for the same reasons plus they have MP-free healing or MP recharging. Celes was a bit unimpressive last time I tried her out because I didn't focus enough and went stamina heavy. Mog and Gau aren't consistent enough for MVP status for me, even though I love them now. Unfortunately Cyan does physical damage and I just like magic more. Setzer it is!
