IIRC, the Ross Brush got Reflect for coverage purposes - Haste is very common, but only Terra and Strago can set a targeted/reliable Reflect. I anticipated it being a largely undesirable effect from most players, but Reflect has always been one of those statuses where the small handful of people who do use it manage to pull off some amazing shit with it.

Nice catch. It'll be fixed in 2.1.

Yep, the HP+ stacking is vanilla behavior.
-
HP% bonuses do not stack - you only get the highest one.
The Blizzard Orb is in Gogo's Cave.

If anything, I'd want to find a way to make Leo deader.

He doesn't start on any element. It's reactive to how you attack him.

In a word, Dispel

2.1 adjusts Hidon's AI to make it much less likely to miss Shield.

Dispel forces a wallchange.

There is no "50" on an analog clock.

Due to the nature of their damage (high damage from crits), they're always going to look bad on paper since it's necessary to balance them with low attack power.

Mishrak would probably be the best person to ask about this. I'll ping him.

Can't say I really have one, which is probably a good thing.

It's in the ending sequence before that.

Technically, yes, but if you just edit the ROM in USME you're gonna break it.
The standard advice on this front is that FF6's engine doesn't understand diagonal inputs and will accept, say, down or left for down/left. Thus you can just input the circular ones one button at a time: left left down down right.

Save data carries over without a problem. Just repatch a fresh ROM and replace your current one with it.

That is DEFINITELY a problem.

Try posting a save file here.

I believe it is, actually.

No worries, I moved it.
The Valiance is just a regular attack that ignores defense and then adds the exact amount of HP that Locke is missing from his max to the final damage tally.

Never really thought about it, tbh. Seems like something I can change.
Questions regarding Dialog/Script changes and translation patches
in Final Fantasy VI: Brave New World

1. Honestly, it just sounds to me like how people talk in real life. I don't consider any of it vulgar, but then again I'm the guy who wrote it. If you really have any concerns at all, then Clean New World is what you're after, as it was written by me for an actual child. The "vanilla" patch is simply BNW's base script rewritten to sound more bland so that people think it's the original, except it isn't.
2. No more so than the original game. The Beginner's School is still aware that it exists within a video game, Ultros is still Ultros, and the original game had a Beavis & Butthead reference in it. You'll either catch references or they'll just fly over your head 99% of the time.
3. The vanilla patch was written for Redditors and people from Something Awful - people who are by and large too stubborn to just give the base mod a shot and then just switch to it midway through the game if you find that the writing bothers you that much.
