Today I'd like to take a moment to congratulate a member of our community - Inuksuk - for his initial public release of a hack that's been long in the making.
Enhansa Edition is a mod of Chrono Trigger that aims to improve the battle system by giving the player more choices about how to grow and gear your character. The inspiration for the mod was, "What if Hypno Wave was actually useful?" and from there it spiraled out of control to rewriting enemy AI, redesigning items and equipment, redesigning Techs, and more. There is a much greater emphasis on status effects in battle, with full functionality restored to unused statuses and many new ways to apply them.

Another Final Fantasy VI mod sees the light of day on NGPlus, this time from Japan. Fully translated and ready to play, T-Edition boasts an extreme amount of new content, features, and even unlockable achievements. 150+ songs using the FF6 sound font have been added into the game, from various other FF and Square Enix titles, a new costume system, complete character tweaks, new bosses, dungeons, cutscenes, restored content, and way, way more. To read the full details, head on over to the main thread.
And we'd love to have you participate! This has been a tradition in our community since 2013, and it's a really fun way to be part of the community! So be sure to check out the main thread and register! Registration is up until the 10th, and from there on everyone participating will get a gift in the dispersal date!
Sega Chief is known not only for being fond of cactuars and good gameplay mods, but also for his affection towards good, old school, self-imposed challenges. What would happen if we combined those things? Meet Final Fantasy VII: True Necrosis, a mod in which the player must deal with unique specific conditions, such as the inability to heal HP or MP throughout the game! Are you willing to accept the challenge?

Another mod sub-forum sees the light of day, and @zombero is once again the person behind the mod itself. Make your way over to the steaming fresh forum with your questions, bug reports and/or critique regarding SMTN:HT, or just to see what the mod is about!
I just wanted to point out that we recently added CT:LA to the list of mods with a dedicated sub-forum. The mod is not really that new, so this is simply doing what should have already been done some time ago! The mod is maintained by @zombero, who also maintains "Ogre Battle: In the Lap of the Gods", as well as some other mods.
We here at NGPlus are proud to announce that the site is now open to the public!
NGPlus is a site dedicated to video game mods and discussion with the whole experience of the player in mind. There are many sites that focus on difficulty on a whole, but we feel that the overall player experience is the most valuable thing, and we hope that this will quickly grow to be a place where we can just chill and do what we love to do: play games and have discussions about them.
We've got a pretty decent amount of mods with that exact principle in mind, so feel free to head on over to the Downloads section and give some of them a shot, or you can swing by the forums to say hello!
We also have a dedicated Discord server if that's your thing, so don't be scared to click the Chat button up at the top. We might be a little bit schitzo, but we're friendly, we promise!
If you plan on being a part of the community though, we'd be glad to have you. Just make sure to take a gander at the Forum Rules before posting.
I'd like to take this opportunity to also introduce you to our Moderation team.
Ninjasdf, FFTA, Kaffe Myers, and myself are your Administrators. Rynzer, Anima Zero, Kjata, Mishrak, Hart-Hunt are your Moderators. We're all pretty chill for the most part.
So, that's about it. Welcome to the site!
